"Shedding light"

In the infinite cycle of life, a serpent's gentle curves entwine with nature's beauty"

A symbol of transformation, the serpent invites us to let go of the past and step into the unknown.

🐍Because 2025 is the year of the snake, I created this one of a kind stained glass suncatcher.

The serpent is coiled in a 8, symbol of infinity.

Serpents represent a creative life force. As snakes shed their skin through sloughing, they are symbols of renewal, transformation, immortality, and healing.

Between layers of clear glass I pressed the shedded skin of a black headed Phyton together with preserved florals.

The little golden triangle segments of the serpents body are made with repurposed vintage textured glass and add a magical little sparkle in the sunshine.

Little details of decorative solder beads have been added to create texture.

To frame the serpent I used an iridescent pink opaque glass. This glass will never seize to amaze you, it gives a beautiful warm glow with the light behind, but when the light is low and in certain angles it will give you little iridised sparks and glimmers of magic that will remind you to always make time for the little things in life.
