"Frilled Fury"

A Frilled Neck Lizard , its frill a fiery halo.

Frilled neck lizards put their frill up when threatened, to make themselves look bigger , they also display a gaping mouth and hiss to scare away predators.

This series is inspired by my love for Australian flora and fauna. I hope to bring joy and appreciation for the beauty of our unique creatures and the magic of light into your home.

I have only been fortunate once to see a Frilled neck lizard when I was living in Darwin. Such an incredible encounter, one that had to be presented in stained glass.

Because of the unique colouring and patterns of their skin, it took me quite some time to find the perfect opaque glass that resembles it best. And as with the real Frilly's this glass frill will glow and light up in the sunshine.
