Teal blue and sea green waves in repurposed hardwood (Silky Oak) handmade stand.
A variety of new lightly textured teal blue and sea green glass. I've added texture to the big wave with solder and a few solder beads to the wave lines to add interest, finished with a black patina to make the glass stand out.
There are lines, bubbles, marks, uneven textures, folds and patterns in the glass, this is part of the process of making glass, please enjoy it as part of its uniqueness.
Size length 29.5cm x height 16cm
Repurposed timber comes from old casement windows, recovered after the floods in Townsville 2019 that were destined to be discarded into landfill.
One of the 4 waves in stand has a unique little feature in the glass, a thumb print, see detail photo. I love this unique print in it as it's part of its history of creation, I made it so that the swirls match the movement of the waves. There is only 1 thumb print, if you would like to have it, please leave a comment in the note section when you purchase, first one to claim, gets it.
